Our Blended Learning Full First Aid at Work Course gives first-time first aiders the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively to a wide range of emergencies in the workplace.
What you will learn:

The role and responsibilities of a first aider.

Managing an incident using the Primary and Secondary Survey.
-
Monitoring and recording vital signs.
-
Dealing with an unconscious breathing casualty.
-
Performing CPR and the safe use of a defibrillator (AED).
-
Managing major and minor bleeding, including amputations, crushed limbs, chest injuries, internal bleeding, abdominal injuries, embedded objects, nosebleeds, and eye injuries.

Treating fractures, sprains, strains, and dislocations, including spinal injuries.
-
Administering first aid for burns and scalds.
-
Recognising and treating shock.
-
Providing first aid for seizures, heart attack, stroke, diabetic emergencies, and fainting.
-
Recognising and managing asthma attacks and allergic reactions (anaphylaxis).
-
Dealing with choking incidents.
-
Understanding first aid kits, hygiene procedures, and infection control.
-
Understanding RIDDOR, COSHH, and accident reporting requirements.
